Who we are
Bowers Partnership is a specialist search and selection business, set up by Natalie Bowers in 2013. We work only with investment managers, asset owners, wealth managers and investment platforms, filling any role from analyst to Director, contract and permanent.
Natalie brings more than 30 years’ experience at C-level, and is a trusted adviser and confidant to the leaders she works with. We’re small on purpose. You get one person who understands your business, picks up the phone, and follows through. Coaching for every candidate, and for senior clients, comes as part of the service, at no extra fee.
Why recruitment
Natalie has worked in and around corporate IT since she was 19. Before recruitment she ran teams and hired for them herself, across sales, admin, credit control and technical services. Her focus was always customer satisfaction, retention and service: a can do, win/win approach she still applies every day in this business.
When she wanted to step back from day to day management, there was only one way to go. Recruitment let her keep doing the part of the job she’d always done well, without running the operation as well.
At the first agency she joined, she was instrumental in modernising the business, transforming how it worked as well as its results. When she left to set up Bowers Partnership in 2013, her operational experience really came into play. Running a business is different from running a desk, and she had done it before.
That background still shapes how we work. Natalie has sat on the hiring side of the table. She has built teams and lived with the results of good hires and bad ones. That’s why she recruits as if she were hiring for her own business: she’s done exactly that.
And she doesn’t believe in targets. She believes in doing the best for people, clients and candidates alike. That’s what drives every search we run.
Giving back
Natalie supports SOS Children’s Village Barrett Town, near Montego Bay in Jamaica, which provides a safe, supportive and loving home for the children and young people in its care. She visits on her trips to the island with a suitcase full of clothes, books, toys and school supplies, and when she can’t get there in person, she ships a barrel instead. The children call her “Miss Bowers”.
To find out more about their work, or to support it, visit SOS Children’s Villages Jamaica. You can read about Natalie’s visits on our Media page.
Closer to home, Natalie mentors one or two young people at a time, usually the sons and daughters of people in her network, and helps them get their first job. That means help with their CV, preparing for interviews, coaching, and plenty of encouragement along the way. She does it free of charge, because everyone deserves someone in their corner at the start.
